1. Who we are

AI for Kids Academy (aikids.space) is operated by , ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact for any privacy question: .

aikids.space is currently a pre-launch page: the program is not available yet. We use the page to find out how much interest there is and to invite people who sign up once it opens.

2. What data we collect

Account. Your email and either a password or your Google account. Passwords are stored by Firebase Authentication in hashed form; we never see them. With Google sign-in we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google. Profile: your name (optional), your child's age, country, plan and the topics you are interested in, and, when you click "Pay", the time and the price shown. Along with it we store technical context: page language, currency, campaign parameters from the link you followed (utm_*), the referring page, the sign-up method and the country determined from your IP address. We do not ask for your child's name or any other information about your child except age.

Usage data. Which sections you view, what you click (for example a plan), the region and language selected, device and browser type, and approximate location that our analytics providers derive from your IP address. With your consent, or where Section 3 allows it, we also collect heatmaps and anonymous session recordings (mouse movement, clicks, scrolling). Text you type into form fields is masked and not recorded.

Server logs. When the page is delivered, our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser information to deliver and protect the site.

3. Why we use it and on what legal basis

• To create and run your account, let you reserve the first month and email you when payment and the program open: steps you asked us to take before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The same data, aggregated, shows us demand by country and plan (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Analytics, heatmaps and session recordings in the UK, Germany and the rest of Europe: only after you accept them in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and applicable ePrivacy rules).
• Analytics in other countries: on by default, based on our legitimate interest in understanding how the page is used and improving it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can opt out at any time (Section 6).
• Delivering and securing the site: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not sell personal data, do not use it for advertising, and do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similar effects.

4. Service providers

• Google Firebase (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC): website hosting, sign-in (Firebase Authentication, including Google Sign-In) and storage of accounts and profiles in Cloud Firestore. Profiles are stored in the EU (Belgium and the Netherlands); sign-in data is processed by Firebase Authentication, which Google operates globally, including in the US.
• Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC): usage statistics. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
• PostHog (PostHog Inc.), EU Cloud: product analytics, heatmaps and session recordings, hosted in the EU.

These providers belong to groups based in the United States, so data may be accessed from the US. Such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. If we introduce online payments, we will update this policy before they go live.

5. How long we keep data

• Accounts and profiles: while your account exists. If the program does not launch, we delete accounts no later than 12 months after sign-up. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
• Google Analytics: up to 14 months.
• PostHog: up to 12 months.
• Server logs: for the short period our hosting provider keeps them for security and operations.

7. Children

The program is designed for children aged 8–17, but this site and accounts are meant for parents and guardians. Only adults should create an account. We ask only for the child's age. If you believe a child has sent us their details, write to us and we will delete them.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing before the withdrawal). Write to ; we reply within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country. If you live outside Europe, you can exercise the rights your local law gives you (for example in Brazil or India) the same way.

Our lead supervisory authority is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), Portugal: cnpd.pt.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update the date at the top when this policy changes. If a change significantly affects how we use data you already gave us, we will let registered users know by email.
